After being in business for a few years, you get many questions about how your business operates and even more questions about how we help our clients achieve their goals.  Below, we have compiled a list of our most popular questions and their answers, to better help our clients better get a feel for how photography (for us) works and how it works for them!  

 Where is Brianna Wolfe Photography located?

While we do not have a designated studio location, we are located in the heart of the Lowcountry, with our home based in Ladson. We travel to a multitude of locations, attractions, historical landmarks, and breathtakingly beautiful places that represent the Charleston culture to cater to your photography needs. Also, we love to travel! Please inquire about travel rates.

How do portrait sessions and fees work?

Portrait session fees are set depending on the type and sometimes the length of session. Some sessions are flat rate fees, while more customized sessions would need to be discussed so a fee could be set.  

Sessions are set up after the initial consultation where we will build you a custom session to match your vision. Once portraits are taken, there is a two week turnaround time for editing, and then we meet again so you and your family can view your gallery in person. At the ordering session you will be able to purchase products and turn your memories into art!  

What happens at a consultation appointment?  Is there a charge for consultations?

Consultations are completely free!  We always meet up with our clients to get to know them.  While we may also hold initial consultations on the phone, we often prefer to meet in person to get more of a feel to what our clients are specifically looking for in their portrait session.  We go over your vision for what you want, how you foresee your portrait looking, what you want to do with your portraits once they are taken and edited, how you want to style them, and so much more!  We ask lots of questions and really get to know YOU and what YOUR vision is so we can do our best to make it happen.  We want your portrait day to be perfect, down to the very last detail, and are happy to plan it all out for you.

Do you use an assistant or second shooter?

Absolutely! I often have an assistant and/or second shooter for certain events. My assistant is an in-training photographer that assists with props, posing, and generally making you as a client feel comfortable.  See my ABOUT page to learn more about my current assistant, Dakota. Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, images with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. This guarantees you will receive the best work every time. Your gallery will have edited, styled, and hand-chosen images for you to choose from when placing your order.  Depending on the length and style of your session, we will set the expectation for a gallery of a specified number of portraits at the time of your consultation.

Do you provide digital images?

Yes!  However, my primary goal is to help you achieve beautiful, custom artwork that can be enjoyed every single day in the form of tangible products such as canvases, albums, and prints. Low resolution, non watermarked images are provided with each order purchase.  For example, if an album were ordered, every image used in the album would also be provided in a low resolution format that is perfect for social media sharing.  High resolution galleries are also offered for an additional fee with a print release, in case you choose to print elsewhere. It is important to note that products, including digital files, are separate from the session fee.

Do you provide an online viewing gallery?

No.  After all of our sessions, once the galleries are completed and fully edited, we will meet back in person to review your portraits.  This may be in a public place, a rented office space, or in the comfort of your own home.  At this time, we will view the images on a TV or computer at your leisure.  Out of town clients will have coordinated Skype appointments if we are unable to travel to their location for the gallery reveal.  

How long does it take to get our printed products?

Products are usually delivered within three weeks of the ordering session. Once we receive your order from the lab, the order is inspected to ensure it is perfect. Once confirmed, the order is beautifully packaged to be either carefully shipped to you or hand delivered. We can even install your artwork in your home for you free of charge!

What does a typical investment look like?

Our average sessions begin at $250 per session with a typical investment ranging between $200-$2000. Our sessions are highly customized to suit our client's various needs and pricing does vary.
